Young and Hungry

Young & Hungry started life in 1994 at BATS as a series of one act plays designed to give young people, aged between 15-25 years, the opportunity to partake in a professional theatre environment under the direction of professional theatre practitioners.

Many theatre practitioners have worked on Young and Hungry productions and have gone on to have careers in professional theatre, film and TV. From writers such as Jo Randerson, Riwia Brown, Hone Kouka, Briar Grace-Smith to actors such as Taika Cohen (Scarfies), Loren Horsley (Kombi Nation), and Michelle Ang (The Tribe, Neighbours).

The three great new scripts for 2010 are by Eli Kent, Sarah Delahunty, and Ben Abdul & Antonia Bale. Keep checking back here for more info!

Humanity has been left infertile after the cataclysmic effect of a highly addictive chemical added to all food becomes apparent. The search is on for anyone isolated and unaffected enough to participate in a breeding programme to re-populate the world... whether they want to or not.
